And now, more of the same from a slightly different angle:
I was born in Bulgaria’s hottest city, yet the more time passes, the more I
am struck by the coldness of so-called reality or society. The only logical
reaction to this for me was my love for the arts, especially my strong
attraction to music and literature. As far as the latter is concerned, I
have been and to this day remain a voracious reader (for now!?), while early
on I was consumed by the strong desire not only to listen to and talk about
music all day, but also to play music. Thus, after a certain period of time
(during which I understood from rock aesthetics that the internal need for
music is more important than an academic education) I decided to take up
bass (the most interesting instrument in a rock band, right?) and played in
various local punk bands.
After a fair number of parties and a smaller number of gigs, I moved to
Sofia (with the goal of completing my education), where my bass would have
been abandoned to “one hundred years of solitude” had I not met Ivan Hristov
and had my interest in experimentation not led me to Gologan in the summer
of 2006.
